Kelly's heroes

A refreshing change, a beautiful comedy. I am not sure if this movie would appeal to all, but to me, it was a revelation. It reminded me of Catch-22, the book i so love.
Plot is simple, Kelly (Clint Eastwood) comes across information about 14000 bars of nazi gold, kept in a bank, some 30 KM behind enemy lines. Troops are give 3 days off, and Kelly organizes a mission to go in and take the prize.
the movie from onset is hilarious, Kelly kidnaps a colonel with german intelligence, and all the info these guys want is about the best hotels in the city about to be captured and where can they get the best women.
Each character is a gem, crapgame the supplies guy, who is runnign a parallel syndicate, Big Joe the sargeant, who cares for his men, and is always calling babra as barbara.
donald Sutherman as oddball is a darling, his character is straight out of 70s, you have to see him to believe him. In one of the sequences is lazing in the war torn town, having wine and cheese, because his tank has broken down.
A must watch for comedy buffs.
